Ethel Mae Prucnal

A funeral mass for Ethel Mae Prucnal, 91, of Gadsden, formerly of Hartselle, was Sunday, Jan. 28, at 2 p.m. at St. James Catholic Church with the Very Rev. Thomas E. Kelly, VF officiating. Entombment was in the Crestwood Mausoleum with Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services directing.
Mrs. Prucnal was a longtime resident of Gadsden and a member of St. James Catholic Church. She was involved in numerous charities and community activities. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charlie F. and Avis Orr; her husband, Walter J. Prucnal; son-in-law, Joey Carlisle; and brothers, C.L. Orr and Robert Bishop Orr.
She is survived by four daughters, Peggy A. Prucnal of Rainbow City, Patricia Prucnal Carlisle of Sherwood, Ark., Mary Prucnal Smith and husband Tommy of Southside and Judy Prucnal Meigs and husband Jack of Brent; two sons, Charles Prucnal and wife Cindy of Wexford, Pa. and Jim Pruenal and wife Beth of Gadsden; nine grandchildren, Robyn Hamilton and husband Bill of Mobile, Ashley Hanan and husband Jason and Leslie Carlisle, all of Sherwood, Ark., Mark Smith and wife Wendy of Anniston, Kara Arthur and husband Jason of Southside, Jessica Prucnal of New York City, Megan Prucnal of Wexford, Pa., Amy and Kelly Prucnal of Gadsden and Jacob and Joseph Meigs of Brent; five great-grandchildren, Caroline and Cooper Hamilton of Mobile, Riley and Carter Hanan of Sherwood, Ark. and Laney Smith of Anniston; brother and sister-in-law; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Prucnal of Hartford, Conn.; and sisters-in-law, Dorothy Orr of Hartselle and Ann Orr of Irving, Tex.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Grandsons were pallbearers.
