Weddings and Engagements

Baldwin, Norris exchange vows
Jessica Lynor Baldwin of Ozark and Jordan Paul Norris of Hartselle were wed Sept. 30, 2006, at the Mountain View Gardens and Ballroom in Springville. Rev. Ted Smith officiated the service.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Tommy E. Baldwin Jr. of Ozark. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Norris of Hartselle.
The nighttime ceremony was held poolside. The altar was a platform flanked with white columns with white lights strung between the columns. Small tea lights lined the pool and large rose arrangements were placed by a waterfall.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents.
She wore a white, off-the-shoulder A-line gown with lace appliqu/s and a lace back. Her one-tier veil was trimmed with satin ribbon. She carried a bouquet of red roses, red hypericum berries and rannuculus.
Joni Marie Bowen of Nashville, Tenn. was the maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Lori Ellen Baldwin of Ozark, Emily Diane Baldwin of Ozark, Janice Norris Sims of Hartselle and Jelsey Louise Norris of Hartselle.
Attendants wore apple-colored satin tops with sweetheart necklines and A-line floor length skirts.
Best man was Jeff Paul Norris of Hartselle. Groomsmen were Ricky Gandy of Birmingham, Bart Sims of Decatur, David Baldwin of Ozark and Joe Walter Norris of Hartselle.
Music was provided by Norman Duffell and Michelle Parker.
A reception was held at Mountain View Gardens and Ballroom after the ceremony.
The bride’s three-tiered chocolate cake featured white icing, chocolate accents and chocolate covered strawberries on each tier. The groom’s two-tiered vanilla cake featured chocolate icing in the shape of a tuxedo with chocolate-covered strawberries on top.
Sabrina Brummitt assisted with the reception.
Anna Gandy, the groom’s cousin, attended the bridal book.
Handling the bubbles, programs and rice were Katelyn Gandy and Mary Ashley Gandy, the groom’s cousins.
The couple took a wedding trip to Animal Kingdom at Disney World in Orlando. They now reside in Huntsville.
A rehearsal party was held Sept. 29 at The Oden House, hosted by the groom’s parents.

Michael, Holt exchange vows
Stacy Delene Michael of Huntsville and Alexander Jordan Holt of Falkville were wed Dec. 16, 2006, at the home of the bride’s parents. Minister W. Stephen Morgan officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Kenneth D. Michael of Huntsville and Rita G. Michael of Huntsville. The groom is the son of Steven W. Holt of Falkville and Constance M. Holt of Falkville.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
The couple enjoyed a honeymoon trip to Cancun, Mexico.
Castillo, Gandy to exchange vows
Steven and Cathaline Castillo of Honolulu, Hawaii announce the engagement of their daughter, Jenna Marie Castillo, to Jonathan Wayne Gandy, son of Wayne and Jacquelyn Gandy of Guntersville and formerly of Falkville.
The future bride is the granddaughter of Hubert and Pearl Castillo of Honolulu and the late Dale and Margaret Brech. The future bride is a 2002 graduate of Maryknoll High School and attended the University of Hawaii.
She is employed by the city and county of Honolulu as an emergency medical technician.
The future groom is the grandson of Harold and Barbara Gandy of Falkville, James and Lula Hughes of Falkville and the late Ella Marie Hughes.
He is a 1998 graduate of Guntersville High School and a 2002 graduate of the United States Naval Academy with a bachelor’s of science in systems engineering.
He is employed by U.S. Navy and is an instructor at Naval Submarine Training Center at Pearl Hawaii, Hawaii and currently holds the rank of lieutenant.
The wedding is planned for Jan. 13, 2007, at 9:30 a.m. at Luana Hills Country Club in Kailua, Hawaii.
A stateside wedding reception is set to be held at Henryville United Methodist Church Jan. 20 at 2 p.m. for all family and friends invited that were unable to attend the Hawaii wedding.
Perry, Linares to wed
Doug and Dusty Perry of Hartselle announce the engagement of their daughter, Ashley Nicole Perry, to Lucas H. Linares, son of Alvaro and Clemencia Linares of Manizales, Colombia, South America.
The future bride is the granddaughter of Charles and Virginia Ball of Hartselle and Martha Perry of Calera. She is a 2006 graduate of the University of Alabama in Huntsville where she earned a degree in communication arts and political science. She was a member of the UAH Tennis Team and USTA League Tennis. She is currently employed by Main Street Strategies in Huntsville
The future groom is the grandson of Leticia Zuloaga of Colombia, South America and Vincente Linares of Colombia, South America.
He received a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering in 2001 and a master’s degree in quality engineering in 2003 from UAH. He was a member of the UAH tennis team. He is currently employed with Spring Footwear in Pompono Beach, Fla.
The wedding is planned for Feb. 3, 2007 at Monte Sano Lodge in Huntsville.
