Harlon Ward

Funeral for Harlon Ward, 92, of Hartselle was Wednesday, Nov. 29, at 1:30 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Walter Blackmon officiating.
Burial was in Burningtree Memorial Gardens in Decatur.
Mr. Ward died Sunday, Nov. 26, 2006, at his residence. He was born April 10, 1914, in Morgan County to James Monroe Ward and Irene Speakman Ward. He was a member of East Highland Baptist Church and retired from Monsanto Company in 1977. He was preceded in death by five brothers and a grandson, Anthony Ward.
He is survived by his wife, Eva Ward of Hartselle; five sons, Carl Ward and wife Beverly of Decatur, John Ward and wife Brenda of Woodstock, Ga. and Joel Ward, David Ward and wife Kim and Tony Ward and wife Patricia, all of Hartselle; two daughters, Syble Anders and husband Bobby of Hartselle and Mary South and husband Doug of Decatur; a brother, Billy Joe Ward of Hartselle; 15 grandchildren; and 16 great grandchildren.
Grandsons were pallbearers.
