Hartselle to host Thanksgiving tournament

Turkey isn’t the only thing on the plate for Hartselle sports fans celebrating Thanksgiving this year. The Tigers will be hosting a boys varsity and B-team basketball tournament at Hartselle High School on Nov. 22 and 24-25.
The Hartselle Sporting Goods House Special will include a field of Hazel Green, Decatur Heritage, Albertville, Brewer, Grissom and Hartselle on the varsity side and also the B-teams from Decatur Heritage, Brewer and Grissom.
The tournament’s winner will be based on total number of wins and if there is a tie, the winner will be the team who allowed the fewest number of points.
Hartselle opens Wednesday with a game against Grissom at 7:30 p.m. Friday, they face Albertville at 10:30 a.m. and Decatur Heritage at 4:30 p.m. The Tigers also play Saturday at 7:30 p.m. against Hazel Green.

Friday, Nov. 24
Brewer vs. Hazel Green, 9 a.m.

DHCA vs. Grissom, 12 noon
DHCA B vs. Grissom B, 1:30 p.m.
DHCA vs. Hartselle, 4:30 p.m
Grissom vs. Brewer, 6 p.m.
Albertville vs. Hazel Green, 7:30 p.m.
Saturday, Nov. 25
Brewer B vs. DHCA B, 1:30 p.m.
Brewer B vs. Grissom B, 3 p.m.
