Marvin O. McCormick

Funeral for Marvin O. McCormick, 96, of Danville was Saturday, July 15, at 2 p.m. at Enon Baptist Church in Lawrence County with Bro. C. G. Reding and Bro. Ron Manley officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. McCormick died Wednesday, July 12, 2006, at Lawrence Baptist Medical Center. He was born Oct. 17, 1909, in Lawrence County to William Jeff McCormick and Hattie Mae Brown McCormick. He was a retired farmer and a bus driver for 28 years at Speake High School. He was a member of Enon Baptist Church in Lawrence County. Mr. McCormick was preceded in death by his wife, Gertrude McCormick; a son, Kenneth McCormick; and a great-granddaughter, Janna Grace Wakefield.
He is survived by a son, Bobby McCormick of Danville; a daughter, Rebecca Joyce Wakefield of Hartselle; six grandchildren, Kenny McCormick, Jason McCormick and Jeremy McCormick, all of Danville, Stewart Wakefield and Tina Hill, both of Decatur, and Steven Wakefield of Hartselle; and seven great-grandsons.
Pallbearers were grandsons.
