John Willis Hutchison

Funeral for John Willis Hutchison, 75, of Decatur was Friday, July 7, at 2 p.m. at Flint Baptist Church with Dr. Billy Cagle and Bro. Gary Cardwell officiating and Roselawn Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Burningtree Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Hutchison died Tuesday, July 4, 2006, at his residence surrounded by family. He was born Sept. 13, 1930, in Arab to Henry Madison and Clara Matilda Hutchison. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War, was an active deacon at Flint Baptist Church and retired from McCulloch Appliances in 2001.
He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Jeanette Hutchison of Decatur; a son, Tim Hutchison and wife Sis of Decatur; a daughter, Debra Wallace and husband Robb of Decatur; four grandchildren, Rand and Kristie Hutchison, Taylor Wallace, Nikki Wallace Brunson and husband Josh; a great-grandson, Jace Brunson; and a sister, Jeanne Hutchison of Arab.
Pallbearers were deacons of Flint Baptist Church.
Memorials may be made to the Flint Baptist Church Building Fund or Hospice of the Valley.
