Lady Tigers sweep doubleheader Monday

Hartselle's Breanna Segars pitched the complete game to improve to 14-6 this season as the Lady Tigers cruised past Decatur.
Catie Keel scored two runs and had two singles. Shanice Johnson, Kayla Orr and Mary Curtis each scored a run and collected an RBI. Emily Jackson scored a run.
Hartselle 5
Pisgah 1
Mary Curtis threw a one-hitter to improve to 13-10 as Hartselle moved past perennial Class 2A power Pisgah in game one of a Monday doubleheader.
Hartselle trailed 1-0 heading into the bottom of the fourth inning before Johnson hit a two-RBI triple. Orr followed with an RBI single to score Johnson and put Hartselle up 3-1. The Lady Tigers added two more runs in the bottom of the fifth off RBI singles from Keel and Orr.
Priceville 6
Brewer 0
Sophomore pitcher Jessica Hopper allowed just one hit as Priceville topped rival Brewer at home Monday afternoon. Hopper and Brewer starter Tosh Mayes pitched a scoreless battle until the fourth inning, when the Lady Bulldogs broke ahead 2-0. Priceville added four more runs in the bottom of the fifth inning off Brewer relief pitcher Taylor Holt.
Hopper and Caitlin Williams each scored two runs. Sara Parker and Sumer Boyd also scored for Priceville. Parker and Jessica Kennedy each had two RBIs and Ashten Houser and Williams had an RBI each.
Addison 2
Danville 0 (10 innings)
Danville's Brittany Atkins and Addison's Lana Pigg pitched nine innings of shutout ball before the Lady Bulldogs pulled ahead with two runs in the 10th inning to knock off the Lady Hawks.
Danville managed just two hits against Pigg, with those singles coming from Kristen Sparkman and Haley Hensley. Both batters also stole a base. Atkins struck out nine.
Falkville 6
Meek 1
Falkville's Sarah Champion allowed no earned runs and struck out four in the complete-game win.
Ashlie Mayer had three hits and scored two runs and drove in a run for Falkville. Brittany Key and Emily Dabbs each singled for the Lady Devils, who improved to 11-14.
Brewer 7
Falkville 5 (9 innings)
Brewer freshman Britney Matthews hit the game-winning double in the ninth inning as the Lady Patriots knocked off Falkville (10-14).
Brewer's Jessica Henderson was 1-for-4 and McKinsey Stump was 1-for-3 as the Lady Patriots managed just three hits off Falkville pitcher Ashlie Mayer.
Mayer was hurt by a defense that committed six errors and resulted in four unearned Brewer runs.
For Falkville, Mayer had two singles and an RBI. Savannah Story had two RBIs and two singles, Jody Holmes hit a single, Emily Dabbs had a single and an RBI and Katie Annerton added a single.

Katie Annerton picked up the win on the mound for Falkville and also had an RBI and two singles in the game.
Ashlie Mayer was 2-for-3 with a double and an RBI and Nikkie Hale was 2-for-3 with a double and two RBIs. Whitney Eaves added a single and an RBI, Katrina Wildmon had a double and an RBI and Brittany Key added a single.
West Morgan 6
Danville 5
West Morgan's Lauren Seibert struck out 13 Danville batters as the Lady Hawks fell to 22-12.
Bethany Evans and Kristen Thompson each singled in the game. Charleston Wilson hit a triple, Kristen Sparkman singled and stole a base and Erin Gillott hit two singles.
Thompson took the loss on the mound, striking out six and allowing nine hits in seven innings.
