Weddings and engagements

Barnett, Brown exchange vows
Jolene Marie Barnett and Russell Wayne Brown, both of Hartselle, were wed April 16, 2005, at 2 p.m. at Hartselle Wedding Chapel with the Rev. Bill partridge officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Loyd Barnett of Decatur and JoAnn Fortenberry of Falkville. The groom is the son of Charlie and Robbie Brown of Hartselle.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore an ivory dress adorned with pearls and lace and featuring a chapel length train by Alfred Angelo. Her bouquet featured burgundy and ivory roses.
Jill Breeding of Hartselle was matron of honor. Teresa Heflin of Falkville was bridesmaid.
Summer Breeding of Hartselle was flower girl. Sean Flanagan and Nicholas Flanagan, both of Hartselle, were ring bearers.
Steve Barnett of Hartselle was best man. Randy Breeding of Hartselle was groomsman.
Ushers were Chris Breeding and Ray Breeding, both of Hartselle.
Candlelighters were the mothers of the bride and groom.
Music was provided by Hartselle Wedding Chapel.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held in the reception hall.
The bride's table featured a two-tier ivory cake with burgundy roses.
The groom's table featured a chocolate cake topped with strawberries.
Teri Appleton of Hartselle and Robin Jones of Decatur assisted with the reception.
Dakota Breeding of Hartselle and Brittany Fortenberry of Falkville were rice girls.
The couple honeymooned in Gatlinburg, Tenn. They reside in Hartselle.
Lawrimore, Stricklin to wed
Sammy and Karen Lawrimore of Hartselle announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda Sue Lawrimore, to Jason Delayne Stricklin, son of Rickey and Vanessa Stricklin of Moulton.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Hartselle High School and Wallace State Community College.
She is employed as an LPN with Decatur Med Surg. She is the granddaughter of Frances Lawrimore of Hartselle, Mary Poteete and Faye Campbell, both of Somerville, and the late Sherman and Lucille Lawrimore.
The groom-elect is a graduate of Lawrence County High School. He is employed with Cavalier Home Builders. He is the grandson of Carl and Billy Jo Morgan, Wayne and Sara Jane Hamilton and David and Lucille Corum, all of Moulton, and Nathaniel Stricklin of Michigan.
The wedding will be held Saturday, May 14 at 4:30 p.m. at Rhodes Ferry Park in Decatur.
