James S. 'Bunk' Brown

Funeral for James S. "Bunk" Brown, 85, of Lacey's Spring was Saturday, Nov. 27, at 1 p.m. at Valhermoso Holiness Church with the Rev. David M. Cole officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Valhermoso Holiness Church Cemetery.
Mr. Brown died Wednesday, Nov. 24, 2004, at Decatur General Hospital. He was born Jan. 14, 1919, in Morgan County to Mack Brown and Lyda King Brown. He was retired from Hudson Metal. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Rachel Brown.
He is survived by his wife, Josephine Brown of Lacey's Spring; one son, Charles Brown of Lacey's Spring; two brothers, Duey Hammond Brown and Dale Brown, both of Lacey's Spring; five sisters, Dorothy Brown of Valhermoso Springs, Lee Ree Smith of Huntland, Annie Lou Lenox of Lacey's Spring, Lillie Mae Maples of Somerville and Mable Avans of Scottsboro; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Coy Brown, Tracy Dudley, Robert Warren, Keith Allison, Todd Tabber and Jonathan Stites.
