Funeral for M. F. Busby, 82, of Decatur was Sunday, Sept. 19, at 3 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home with the Rev. Terry Bailey officiating.
Burial was in Cullman Public Cemetery with military honors.
Mr. Busby died Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2004, at his residence. He was born July 14, 1922, in Jefferson County to James Buchannon Busby and Bessie Arty Smith Busby. He was a chief engineer for the Waterman Steamship Co. Mr. Busby was a Mason, a United States Navy veteran of World War II and Vietnam, and was a Merchant Marine.
He is survived by one son, Charles Randall Busby of Decatur; one daughter, Carolyn Ann Busby Bennefield of Eva; six grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
