Happy Valentine's Day

Readers share Valentine thoughts
Dear Russ,
Happy Valentine's Day! I just wanted to let you know how much I love you because I'm sure I don't express it to you nearly enough.
I just want to let you know how much I appreciate and respect all that you do for Hailey and me. You work tirelessly at the funeral home, not only because you want it to be successful, but also because you are dedicated to serving people in one of their greatest times of need.
You serve all the people of Hartselle and Morgan County as our coroner, working hours that are often very late and long. And we both know that you certainly don't do it for money or power. You do it because you care and you want to help.
I've seen the tears in your eyes after speaking with a family who has lost someone who was much too young to go.
I've heard the anger in your voice for the families who have lost someone needlessly.
I've seen your admiration for those who have fought the good fight and the families who have fought it with them.
And I love you for it.
I've watched you go for days with very little or no sleep at all, and yet I've seldom heard you complain. Even after your busiest and most trying days, you come home with a smile and a kiss and ready to play with our very active and energetic 3-year-old daughter-whose greatest joy in life is playing hide-and-seek with Daddy.
And I love you for it.
As if all of this wasn't enough, you serve on several committees at our church, not because you have to, but because you want to serve the Lord. You are an active member of Civitan and Jaycees, not because you have to, but because you want to serve the community.
And I love you for it.
You never leave the house without kissing me and Hailey and telling us how much you love us, not because you have to, but because you know better than anyone how important it is to let the people you love know it at every opportunity.
And I love you for it.
On top of all these things, you are good to me. You take care of me when I'm sick. You listen to me. You laugh with me. You support me. You love me. And I can't imagine a life without you in it.
And I love you for it.
Happy Valentine's Day for all this and so much more.
I love you, Pat Beard

Happy fourth birthday
A special Valentine gift was given to us one year ago on Valentine's Day-Hudson Drake Harden. We want to say happy fourth birthday! You are a very handsome little boy whom we love so very much. You have brought so much love and joy to our lives.
Hugs and Kisses,
Nana and Papaw Hall
True love maybe for you,
A walk in the park…
While holding hands
In the dark
Under the moonlight
With your someone special
Sounds alright
I suppose.
But for a soul like me
True love…!?
Well, it comes in the ultimate degree.
My true love respects me
And acknowledges that
I want to be
Amongst other things…
Treated with honesty
And devotion.
I admire and honor her.
She is my only inspiration.
Without her…
My life would be lived
In desperation.
She has fed me food
When I had none.
She consoled me and educated me
No matter what I had done.
She is my destined glee
No one on God's green earth could compare nor replace
Such a God given face.
She showed me love
When I had given up
She motivated me and assured me
When my dreams filled the cup.
She is truly my God given angel.
He sent her love to share with me.
I can not imagine a better friend and confidant
Than the one I already have.
I just want you
Mary Frances McCall to know,
That you are special to me.
Thanks for believing in me.
You made me grow.
I appreciate the sunlight
You have brought in my life
And all the times you have
Rescued me from my strife.
You are loved by me…Nancy,
Truly, unconditionally, not once
But times three.
Happy Valentine's Day.
You are the key to my heart.
I love you,
Nancy Thomas
