Mary Sue Brasseale Thompson

Funeral for Mary Sue Brasseale Thompson, 96, of Danville was Monday, Oct. 6, at Shady Grove Baptist Church with the Revs. Jack Bailey, Johnny Tucker and Tom Campbell officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Johnson Chapel Cemetery.
Mrs. Thompson died Friday, Oct. 3, 2003, at Summerford Nursing Home. She was born Feb. 19, 1907, in Etowah County to James Abner Brasseale and Rosa Lee Smith Brasseale. She was a homemaker and a long-time member of Shady Grove Baptist Church. She participated in the activities at Summerford Nursing Home. She was the widow of Clint Thompson and preceded in death by five sisters and two brothers.
She is survived by one son, Charles L. "Charlie" Thompson of Hartselle; three daughters, Betty Thompson Borden of Kalamazoo, Mich., Peggy Thompson Lindsey and husband, James Kyle, of Danville, and Dorothy "Dot" Thompson Burgess and husband, Buford, of Hartselle; two sisters-in-law, Ruby Eubanks Brasseale of Decatur and Ruby Thompson Roberts of Maryville, Tenn.; 13 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Jeff Thompson, Rex Lindsey, Gary Burgess, Dane Burgess, Levi George, Scott Evans, Nick Watkins, Kell Roberts, Mike Horn and David King.
