Area residents on dean's list
Several area residents were recently named to the dean's list at Birmingham Southern College.
Named to the list were: Matthew Emerson, Caryn Penn and Anup Vora, all of Hartselle. To be named to the list, a student must earn a grade point average of at least 3.5.
Local student among grads
Two Hartselle residents were among 680 students who received degrees from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Andrew J. Page received a bachelor's degree from the School of Education and Leah R. Blackwood received a master's degree from the School of Education.
Also, two Hartselle residents were named to the University of Alabama at Birmingham academic honor roll. Pamela J. Stephenson, a student in general studies, was named to the presidential honors list. Corey Jenkins, a student in the School of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, was named to the dean's list.
