A memorial service for Lisa Goen Roper, 36, of Decatur will be Sunday, Nov. 3, at 3 p.m. at Central United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Roper died Wednesday, Oct. 23, 2002, in Chattanooga. A native of Morgan County, she attended Austin and Decatur high schools. She was the granddaughter of the late George Ross "Buddy" Douglas and Dessie Garrett Douglas, Rev. Herman J. Lowery and Olyce Juanell Lowery, and step grandfather, David Milburn Goen.
She is survived by her husband, Jason Carter Roper of Ogden, Utah; one son, Curtis Lee Woodard of Chattanooga; one daughter, Allyssa Rosine Goen of Chattanooga; her mother and stepfather, Patricia Douglas Warden and Tony Warden of Chattanooga; her father, Roger Gene Lowery of Athens; one brother, Patrick Gene Lowery of Gardendale; two sisters, Miranda Beth Goen Swanner of Cullman and Terri Rene Goen May of Dawsonville, Ga.; her grandfather, Bly Oneal Maxwell of Hartselle; stepfather, David Michael Goen and his wife, Betty Goen of Bedford, Ind. and step grandmother, Dorothy Agnes Goen of Bedford, Ind.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Lisa Goen Roper Trust Account c/o AmSouth Bank, at 223 Second Avenue Southeast, Cullman, AL 35058.
