David Raymond Johnson Sr.

Funeral for David Raymond Johnson Sr., 60, of Somerville was Friday, Aug. 16, at 3 p.m. at Union Church of Christ with Thomas Larkin and Steve Kirby officiating.
Burial was in Antioch Cemetery in Somerville with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Johnson died Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2002, at University of Alabama at Birmingham Hospital. A native of Illinois, he lived in Nashville from 1960 to 1999. He worked as a computer programmer for the Metropolitan Government in Nashville and Davidson Country, Tenn., for 30 years before moving to Somerville. He was an elder at Union Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Ruby Spurlin Johnson of Somerville; one son, David R. Johnson of Goodlettsville, Tenn.; one daughter, Clarissa A. Cox of Nashville; one brother, Kenneth L. Johnson of Rochesterhills, Mich.; three sisters, Mary Burris of Salem, Ark., Barbara Schnathorst of Monument, Colo., and Wilma Mallon of Shawnee, Kan.; and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Charles Caudill, John Hayes, Douglas Styles, Robert Tankersley, Mike Tidwell and Vasile Dragu.
Elders and deacons at Nashville Road Church of Christ and Union Church of Christ were honorary pallbearers.
