Neal, Ellis exchange vows
Amy Nichole Neal of Arley and Rodney Edward Ellis of Hartselle were wed July 20, 2002 at 6 p.m. at Moulton Baptist Church. Rev. Mike Goforth officiated the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Idas Neal Jr. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gilmer Ellis.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a formal white gown of Duchess satin.
Designed with a deep basque waistline edged with satin, the strapless gown featured a molded bodice richly embellished with scolling sutasch embroidery that was delicately adorned with pearls. A contrasting band also adorned with sutasch and pearls detailed the neckline. The fully gathered ball gown skirt was bordered with a wide edge of sutasch embroidery and swept into a semi-cathedral train.
Her veil of silk illusion was held in place by a tiara of pearls and Austrian crystals. The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of eskimo roses accented with greenery.
Tonya Lang of Moulton was matron of honor. Makenna Lang of Moulton was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Tina White of Cullman, Cynthia Lyn Monk of Birmingham, Jana Dickson of Nauvoo, Cindy Neal of Arley, Jonna Ellis of Hartselle, Shanda Dover of Curry, April Bennett of Tuscaloosa and Penny Thompson of Winchester, Tenn.
Lauren Ellis of Hartselle was flower girl.
The groom's father, Gilmer Ellis of Hartselle and David Lewis of Hartselle were best men. Groomsmen were Russell Ellis, Scott Ellis, Brian Ellis, Bradley Holt, Tony Brewer and Todd Bennich, all of Hartselle and Bob Lang of Moulton and Greg Neal of Arley. Ethan Ellis of Hartselle was ring bearer. Junior groomsmen were Kelton Lang of Moulton and Ty Neal of Arley.
Candlelighters were Brian Ellis and Scott Ellis. Music was provided by soloists Donna Goforth and Rev. Jason Vinson, organist Reta Gunter and harpist Steven Miller.
Following the wedding, a reception was held at Moulton Baptist Church.
Wedding directors were Kim Rogers of Moulton and Faye Mann of Florence. Servers were Carla Lay of Curry, Karla Robinson of Tuscaloosa, and Katie Matthews of Hartselle. Attending the bride's book was Carla Lay of Curry.
Program attendants were Jordan Lay and Tyler Lay of Curry.
After a wedding trip to St. Lucia, the couple will reside in Hartselle.
