Willmar Kenneth Stanford Sr.

A graveside service for Willmar Kenneth Stanford Sr., 82, of Talladega was Saturday, Aug. 3, at 11 a.m. at Burningtree Memorial Gardens with Phillip Hines officiating and Usrey Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Stanford died Wednesday, July 31, 2002, at Talladega Health Care. A native of Springhill, Fla., he retired from Daniels Construction in Decatur as a supervisor and formerly lived in Hartselle. He moved to Talladega in 1992.
He was an Air Force veteran of World War II and was a member of First United Methodist Church. He attended The University of Alabama but was an avid Florida Gator fan. He was the widower of Gwen Nicholson Stanford.
He is survived by one son, Bill Stanford of Lincoln; three grandchildren; and one great grandsons.
Pallbearers were Paul Bearden, John Paul Bearden, Kent Bearden, Charter Nicholson, Will Stanford, Ben Stanford and Jim Preuitt.
