The appointment to the Hartselle City School Board is on hold for two weeks.
Councilman Bill Smelser had to miss Monday night’s work session due to a family medical emergency. He asked that the school board vote be delayed until the Feb. 13 meeting. The council had received 8 applications for the position that was created when Greg Cain took his position as Morgan County Probate Judge. The council interviewed seven applicants and narrowed that down to three candidates: Bruyne Rollins, former school board member Dr. James Joy and Nicole Mashburn.
