A Danville man has been charged with theft of property in the first degree in connection with a car theft.
Brian Matthew Kelley of 1021 Liberty Road in Danville is being held on $1,500 bond in connection with a June 25 incident.
According to the Morgan County Sheriff’s Department, Debra Brown of 55 Roberts Road in Danville reported her car, along with cash and prescription medicines, were stolen. Investigation led deputies to Kelley. Agents arrested Kelley Sept. 19 and he was extradited from Panama City, Fla. on the theft warrant.
Brown’s vehicle was recovered and returned to her.
