Billy Joe Brock

Funeral for Billy Joe Brock, 72, of Hartselle was Friday, Sept. 8, at 11 a.m. at Salem United Methodist Church with the Revs. Estes Hardin and Harold Thompson officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Burial was in Salem Cemetery.
Mr. Brock died Tuesday, Sept. 5, 2006, at his residence. He was a Christian and a member of Salem United Methodist Church. He served in the U.S. Navy and then retired from the U.S. Army in 1973. He was active in local military organizations.
He is survived by his wife, Betty S. Brock of Hartselle; a son, Shane Brock of Decatur; a daughter, J. Lynn Brock Meares of Hartselle; a brother, Rev. James Brock of Trinity; two sisters, Ann Garrison of Gastonia, N.C. and Nell Carver of West Jefferson, N.C.; and five grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Mark Brock, Zang Brock, Doug Queen, Zach Brock, E.J. Smith and Gary Pugh.
Honorary pallbearers were L.C. Robinson, Truman Pittman, Ronald Cole, Bobby Garner, Dale Gilbert and Amon Curtis.
