Nelson, Lee to wed Aug. 19
Garland and Karen Nelson of Scottsboro announce the engagement of their daughter, Stephanie Kara Nelson, to Russell Eugene Lee, son of Larry and Sherry Lee of Decatur.
The bride-elect is a 1995 graduate of Caddo Magnet High School and a 1999 graduate of Northeast Alabama Community College with an associate's degree in applied science nursing. She is employed with Decatur Oncology as a registered nurse and is a member of the Critical Care Nurses Association. She is the granddaughter of Charles and Maycel Barnett of Crossett, Ark., Doris Nelson of Hugo, Okla. and the late Buford Nelson.
The groom-elect is a 1982 graduate of Decatur High School and a 2001 graduate of Louisiana State University Graduate School of Banking. He is employed with Bank Independent as vice president and is a member of the Hartselle Rotary Club, Morgan County Cattlemen's Association, and Morgan County Economic Development Association. He is the grandson of Louise Booker of Morris, the late Henry Lee, the late Walter Booker, and the late Jim and Myrtle Cannon.
A private ceremony will be held Aug. 19.
