Spring is in bloom

Huntsville Botanical Garden kicks off Festival of Flowers
You have the chance to see almost any blooming thing you can imagine at this month's Spring Festival of Flowers at the Huntsville Botanical Garden.
The garden will feature thousands of tulips, daffodils, dogwoods, azaleas and wildflowers during the April event.

The Festival of Flowers attracted more than 26,000 visitors in 2005. Festival hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1-5 p.m. on Sunday.
Are arts and crafts more your thing? School has something for you
St. Bernard Prep School in Cullman is gearing up for the 22nd annual Bloomin' Festival Arts and Crafts Show to be held April 22-23 on the school's campus. The event features more than 170 artists and craftspeople from around the Southeast.
Arts and crafts selections include basket making, pottery, blown glass, birdhouses, water color paintings and more. Musicians will be performing throughout the weekend.
Admission is $5 for adults, $1 for children ages 6-12 and free for those five and younger. Festival hours are 9 a.m.-5 p.m. daily. All proceeds go to benefit the school.
