Morgan County Tournament gets under way

The Morgan County Basketball Tournament kicked off Monday at Brewer High School with the Lady Hawks knocking off the Lady Blue Devils 36-35 and the Lady Patriots defeating West Morgan 82-28. The boys games kicked off Tuesday with Hartselle facing West Morgan and Priceville taking on Brewer.
Danville moved on to face No. 2 Class 5A Hartselle in the semifinal game, which will be Thursday at 6 p.m. In the second girls semifinal game, Brewer takes on Priceville Friday at 6 p.m.
In the boys varsity bracket, the winner of Brewer/Priceville faces Falkville Thursday at 7:30 p.m. The winner of West Morgan/Hartselle takes on Danville Friday at 7:30 p.m.
This year, the freshman championship game will be Friday at 5 p.m. All remaining championship games will be held Saturday.
The junior varsity girls final will be 3:30 p.m., the junior varsity boys final at 5 p.m., the varsity girls final at 6:30 p.m. and the varsity boys final at 8 p.m.
