Six charged in three separate drug busts

A string of drug-related arrests have wrapped up a busy week for the Morgan County Sheriff's Department. Six people were arrested following three drug raids last week.
The first occurred at 671 West Lacon Road in Falkville on Dec. 5. Agents with the Morgan County Drug Task Force arrested Jonathan Dale Leverett for unlawful possession of a controlled substance/methamphetamine, possession of marijuana in the second degree and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Leverett was booked in the Morgan County Jail on $2,000 bond.
Also that day, task force agents served a search warrant at 52B Betterton Drive in Danville. Agents found marijuana, methamphetamine and assorted drug paraphernalia at the home. The home's resident, Steven Lee Belmont, 31, was arrested and charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance/methamphetamine, possession of marijuana in the second degree and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bond was set at $2,000.
Agents also arrested Derrick Franklin Maddox, 26, of Blankenship Road in Danville and charged him with unlawful possession of a controlled substance/ methamphetamine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Christopher Lacey, 20, of 270 Garrison Road in Hartselle, was also arrested during the raid. He was charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance/ methamphetamine and possession of marijuana in the s second degree.
Bond for Maddox was set at $1,500. Lacey's bond was set at $1,500.
James Ballinger of Danville was also arrested at the home on outstanding warrant charges from Lawrence County.
At a separate raid that day, agents were joined by Decatur Police Department's Organized Crime Unit in serving a search warrant at the residence of Fabian Maurice Jones of 1425 Danville Road. Agents found marijuana, cocaine, drug paraphernalia and a 9mm handgun at the home. Jones is charged with first degree possession of marijuana, possession of cocaine and possession of drug paraphernalia. Jones was taken to the Morgan County Jail on $1,800 bond.
