Brackin, Knowlton to wed
Mr. and Mrs. Roger Brackin of Hatton announce the engagement of their daughter, Jennifer Ann Brackin, to Charles Robert Knowlton II, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bobby Knowlton of Hartselle.
The bride-elect is a 2000 graduate of Hatton High School and is currently pursuing a degree in biology at Jacksonville State University. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Brackin of Town Creek, Mrs. Berla Pace of Hatton and the late Junior Pace.
The groom-elect is a 2001 graduate of Decatur High School and is currently pursuing a degree in business management at Jacksonville State University.
He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. James Stephenson and Mr. Charles Knowlton, all of Hartselle, and the late Lurleen Knowlton.
The wedding will be held July 30 at 4 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Hartselle.
Jansen, Beason to exchange vows
Melissa Jansen of Hartselle and Robert Jansen of Nashville, Tenn. announce the engagement of their daughter, Amanda JoAnne Jansen, to Jerry Lynn Beason II, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Beason of Decatur.
The wedding is planned for June 4 at the Flint Church of Christ in Decatur.
The future bride is the granddaughter of Bobby and Dean Stephenson of Decatur and Pearl Evans of Nashville, Tenn. A 1999 graduate of Athens High School, she received a dental assisting degree from Wallace State Community College in 2002 and an associate's degree in nursing from Wallace State in 2005. She is employed as a surgical assistant with Dr. William F. Littlejohn, DMD.
The future groom is the grandson of Norma Milton of Decatur and Ollie Beason of Decatur.
A 1997 graduate of Cornerstone Christian School, he received a bachelor's of science degree in meteorology from the University of South Alabama in 2002.
Yeater, Slaughter to wed June 18
Alan and Cindy Yeater of Lafayette, Ind. announce the engagement of their daughter, Marla Layne Yeater, to John Jeremiah Slaughter, son of Steve and Phyllis Slaughter of Beaver Dam, Ky.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Cullman High School and Athens State College with a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education where she was named to the National Dean's List. She is the granddaughter of Doris Chapman of Hartselle and Kent and Virginia Yeater of Paden City, W. Va.
The groom-elect is a graduate of Western Kentucky University with a general studies degree with emphasis in business.
He is employed with Insight Cable Company in Bowling Green, Ky. He is the grandson of John and Joan Slaughter of Frankfurt, Ky.
The wedding will be held June 18 at 2 p.m. at Founders Hall of ASU.
