Thomas, Wintermantel wed March 13
Susan Ashley Thomas and Richard Nicholas Wintermantel were married March 13, 2005 at 2 p.m. at the historic Donnelly House and Gardens in Birmingham. Pastor Steve Blair officiated at the ceremony. A reception followed.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Phil Thomas of Alexander City. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Rich Wintermantel of Birmingham.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. Attending the bride as Matron of Honor was Julie Rosenfeld, twin sister of the bride, of Brentwood, Tenn. Bridesmaids were Lauren Barnes of Dallas, Texas, Laura Henry of Nashville, Tenn., Layton Meng of Washington, D.C., Kate Miller of Birmingham, Dr. Lacey Thomas, sister-in-law of the bride, of Nashville, Tenn, Laura Tarokh of Charleston, S.C., and Delight Wintermantel, sister of the groom, of Tulsa, Ok.
Best man was Rich Wintermantel, father of the groom. Attending the groom were Michael Anderson, Michael Broom, Kevin Carden, Drew Harris, Brandon Marsh, Charles Marsh, Billy Rosenfeld, brother-in-law of the bride, of Brentwood, Tenn., and Dr. Bradley Thomas, brother of the bride, of Nashville, Tenn..
The bride is a graduate of Auburn University with a bachelor of science degree in chemical engineering. She received an MBA from the University of Alabama in 2004. The groom is a summa cum laude graduate of The University of Alabama in mechanical engineering.
After a honeymoon trip to Jamaica, the couple resides in Birmingham.
