HHS boys win one, tie one in county tourney

The Hartselle boys' soccer team recorded a 1-1-1 record in the Morgan County Soccer Tournament last weekend.
After losing their opening match to Austin, the Tigers bounced back with a tie against Priceville and won their final tourney game over Brewer.
The Lady Tigers went 1-2. Each team was shutout once.
Girls
Hartselle 2, Priceville 2
The cross-county rivals played to a tie during the second day of the Morgan County Tournament, thanks to a mistake by the Lady Bulldogs. Priceville knocked the ball into its own goal for one of the Lady Tigers goals.
Madison Lipsey scored the other Hartselle goal.
The Lady Bulldogs got goals from Keri Heard and Rachel Reed.
Brewer 4, Hartselle 3
The Lady Patriots Heather Gore went a hat-trick one better by scoring not three, but four goals in the Brewer win during the county tourney.
Hartselle got two goals from Lipsey and one from Ashley Self.
Hartselle 1, Priceville 1
Ian Greenhaw scored for the Tigers, while Ryan Kirschbaum scored for the Bulldogs during a draw in the county tourney.
Hartselle 5, Brewer 0
The Tigers won their first county tournament game since 2003 as five different players scored. Josh Harris, Aslan Davis, Paul Sparkman,
Ray Canafax and Greenhaw had Tiger goals.
