William Dallas Copeland

A military graveside service for William Dallas Copeland, 85, of Escondido, Calif., was Wednesday, March 23, at 12 p.m. at Longshore Cemetery in Collinsville with his nephew, Johnny Yarbrough, officiating and Hartselle Heritage Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Copeland died Tuesday, March 15, 2005, in Escondido. He was born April 20, 1919, in Dekalb County to Lynton Copeland and Dora Longshore Copeland. He owned Copeland Transmission for 32 years until he retired in 1982.
He is survived by two sons, Gary Copeland of Lake Havasu, Ariz. and Doug Copeland of Valley Center, Calif.; one daughter, Janice Copeland of Escondido; one half-sister, Eloise Lott of Decatur; 10 grandchildren, Michael Quade, Jeff Quade, LeAnne Butler, James Copeland, John Copeland, Sheri Copeland, Claudia Copeland, Dirk Copeland, Chloe Copeland and Caleigh Copeland; eight great grandchildren, Amanda Quade, Meghan Quade, Jacob Butler, Alissa Butler, Matt Quade, Carson Quade, Gabriel Quade and Giavanna Quade; and several nieces and nephews.
