Branas, McCarley to wed June 11
Jim Branas and Terry Hughes, both of Hartselle, announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren Branas, to Bert McCarley, son of Martha and Herb McCarley of Wellington.
The bride-elect is a 2000 graduate of Hartselle High School and a 2004 magna cum laude graduate of Auburn University. She is employed with the Wetumpka Herald. She is the granddaughter of Jean Nicholson of Palm Desert, Calif.
The groom-elect is a 1993 graduate of Alexandria High School and a 1998 graduate of Auburn University. He is employed with Ferndale Labs, Inc. He is the grandson son of Doris and Thomas Read of Wellington.
The wedding will be held June 11 at the Huntsville Botanical Gardens.
Reaves, Hughey to wed March 12
Mr. and Mrs. Cecil Ralph Reaves of Camden announce the engagement of their daughter, Dana Leigh Reaves, to Chad Dee Hughey of Hartselle, son of Mr. and Mrs. Willard Dewitt Hughey Jr. of McCalla.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Auburn University with a bachelor's degree in English and of the University of Montevallo with a bachelor's in communication science disorders.
She is currently pursuing a master's degree in speech-language pathology.
The groom-elect is a graduate of Livingston University with a bachelor's degree in business administration. He is currently employed with State Farm of Hartselle.
The wedding will be held March 12 at Camden Baptist Church at 5 p.m. followed by a reception. Friends and relatives are invited.
