Arrest made in connection with Cato robbery

Hartselle Police arrested Kevin Duane Huff, 18, of 359 East Byrd Road, Hartselle, on Dec. 27. Huff was charged with first-degree robbery in connection with the armed robbery at the Hartselle Cato store on Dec. 21.
According to police, a man wearing a mask and armed with a pistol went to Cato and demanded cash from employees.
A Cato employee put an undetermined amount of cash into a bag and gave it to the man, who took the money and fled the store.
There were several customers inside the store at the time of the robbery, but no one was injured in the incident.
Huff was processed into the Hartselle City Jail and later transferred to the Morgan County Jail where he was held on a $25,000 bond.
