Funeral for Bertha Poole Hamilton, 97, of Falkville was Wednesday, Dec. 22, at 1 p.m. at Peck Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Gary Wilbanks and Rachel Westmoreland officiating.
Burial was in Friendship Cemetery, south of Danville.
Mrs. Poole died Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2004, at Summerford Nursing Home.
She was born Aug. 24, 1907, in Lawrence County to Thomas J. Poole and Annie A. Garnett Poole. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry L. Hamilton; four brothers, Walter Poole, Lewis Poole, Floyd Poole and Buford Walker; and two sisters, Ethel Jarrett and Eva Chenault.
She is survived by one brother, Calvin Poole of Decatur; one sister, Lorene Wilbanks of Hartselle; and several nieces and nephews.
Nephews were pallbearers.
