Liberty Baptist to host all-night singing

A gospel singing will be held at Liberty Baptist Church on Sat., Aug. 13. This is the church’s annual all-night singing Several different groups will be featured. The church is located at Lacey’s Spring, next to the post office. Please bring lawn chairs.

A workday was held at Somerville Assembly on Saturday. A lot of work was accomplished. The teen class enjoyed splatter painting their classroom, even though they got more paint on themselves than on the walls. Fun, fellowship and working together made for a great day. Pastor Jacob Daugette thanks everyone for their hard work.

Happy birthday wishes go out this week to Glenda Dunaway, Robert Johnson, Faith Kemp and J.J. Daugette.

Somerville Assembly received two new members at the close of Sunday morning’s worship service. They were Paul and Kathy Heatherly. Welcomed as visitors were Larry and Delores Standridge from Lawrence County.

Welcomed as luncheon guests at the home of Pastor Jacob Daugette on Sunday were Natashia Free, Louis, Jayla and Vickey Daugette, Jack and Faith Kemp, Andreana Thomas, Haydan Stover and Tristan Stover.

Welcomed as visitors at Somerville Assembly on Sunday night were Brother Jack and Sister Laura.

Congratulations go out to Richard and Carol Key who just found out they are going to be grandparents soon.

Somerville Assembly youth will conduct a yard and bake sale at the church on Aug. 20 from 8 a.m. to noon. Later that day at 6 p.m. a gospel singing will be held at the church. Guest singers will be New Life. Everyone is invited.
