Adorable pet contest winner announced

A Digital Reflection Photography & Videography in Hartselle conducted an Adorable Pet Contest recently as a charity fundraiser.

Area pet owners that participated brought a donation of pet food that was donated to the Morgan County Humane Society in Hartselle and Animal Friends Humane Society in Decatur.

Voting was conducted in May and June at $1 per vote from family and friends donated through the ADR website, in-person and by telephone. All voting proceeds were for charity and benefited The Dawson Fund and a check was presented to Carol Wicks, director of Animal Friends Humane Society.

The Dawson Fund is a nonprofit charitable organization that handles the medical needs of animals that are treatable but there are no funds available for their care. Without this organization, these animals would otherwise be euthanized.

Winner of the contest, Susie Burgess and Toby will receive a trophy and an 11×14 color portrait.
