Leeths hold annual reunion

The descendants of Bethel K. Leeth held their annual reunion at Sparkman Park on Sunday, July 10.

His spouses were: (1) Nancy E. Thompson {married November 22, 1872}, (2) Frances Jacobs Cole {married February 9, 1888}, and (3) Frances Lorene Baker {married Feb. 25, 1892}. He was the proud father of 18 children. The following 7 children were represented at the reunion: Zona Leeth Knighten by Ruth and Alan Hollis, Betty Knighten, Paul Ellis and Melissa Knighten, John and Reanee Knighten, Machelle Knighten, Haleigh Newman, Renee Baker, Virgina Knighten, Frances Baker, Luther Knighten, Carrie McKelvey, James, Aundrea, Kathleen and Annabelle Baker, David and Anita Knighten, Colt and Ashton Knighten, Michael, Amie, Emily and Elizabeth Yancey; Houston Leeth by Benny, Carolyn, Tim, Lisa, And MiKayla, Ryan and Logan Self, Johnny Self, Jeanice Galin, Vic Budura, Joan, Rita and Regina Miller, Linda and Joe Maxwell; Joe Leeth by Lucille Hall, Lexie Moore, Mickey Teague, Ann Kirby, Susan Whitten, Casey and Leah Long, Pam and Doug Sibley; Parilee Leeth Peppers by Helen A. Waters Moody and Jackson Waters; Minnie Leeth Dunn by Loretta Bryant and Jimmy Dunn; Liza Leeth Nelson by Millard Nelson and Betty Hensley; and Doc Leeth by John Leeth and Charlie Leeth.

This reunion has been a time of true fun and fellowship for at least two generations. It is held on the second Sunday in July each year.

The guests enjoy socializing and an old-fashioned covered lunch.
