1883 -June 10, J. J. Woodall of the Hartsell Investigator newspaper and Maggie Boteler were united in the holy bonds of matrimony at Danville today.
2003 -June 11, Hartselle's Something Blue Shop located at 224 West Main is doing a booming business in Symphony bridal veils.
1954 -June 12, Nora and Mary Frances McCall, Lucia Lee, and Mr. and Mrs. George Wesley Vest were in Huntsville tonight to attend the marriage of Imogene Murphree and John Douma.
2004 -June 12, Jason Spencer, son of Glen and Brenda Spencer of Hartselle, married Amber Gail Dawson in Samford University's Reid Chapel tonight. Jason is a graduate of Hartselle High and a pharmacy major at Samford.
1924 -June 13, Louise Robertson, formerly a teacher at MCHS, was married to John C. Slone of Montevallo this week at her home in Florence.
1901 -June 14, H. C. Teague will wed Bessie Ora Woodruff a month from today.
1930 -June 15, Mary Elaine McCroskey of Falkville will marry Joseph W. Hudson of Birmingham later this summer.
2000 -June 15, Ellen Wier and Karl Whealton were married this evening in Lafayette, Colo. Ellen is the granddaughter of Lee and Mitch Coon of Hartselle and of the late Ida Coon. She is currently attending graduate school in Boulder, studying for a doctorate in music therapy and trans-personal counseling.
1923 -June 16, According to the custom among ministers of the Methodist Episcopal Church South, when the pastor in charge of a station has to be away from his work for any reason, the presiding district elder takes it over, including performing wedding ceremonies for local couples. This rule is being followed by Dr. W. P. McGlawn in connection with the extended sick leave of Rev. R. W. Anderson, pastor of the Hartselle Methodist Church.
1949 -June 16, Estelle Hunter is completing plans for her wedding to Frank Bunyon Smith. The ceremony will be June 30 at 7:30 in the evening at the First Baptist Church, Hartselle.
