Harry Jackson 'Pop-Pop' Buckingham

A Memorial Celebration service for Harry Jackson "Pop-Pop" Buckingham, 78, of Hartselle was Wednesday, March 24, at 7 p.m. at Fellowship Baptist Church in Decatur with the Rev. Jim Smith officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Buckingham died Tuesday, March 16, 2004, at his residence. He was born Sept. 27, 1925, in Delaware to William Earl Buckingham and Elsie Johnson of Buckingham. He was retired from the U.S. Navy with 28 years of service. He was a member of Fellowship Baptist Church in Decatur.
He is survived by his wife, Julie Bosak Buckingham of Hartselle; one son, James R. Buckingham of California; four daughters, Carol Simmonds and husband Paul of France, Linda Brunner and husband Ken of England, Lisa Day and husband Madison of Hartselle and Mary Cosner and husband Eric "Kip" of Florida; granddaughter, Julie Peebles and husband Ashley of Hartselle; five brothers; two sisters; 10 grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of the Valley or to the Fellowship Baptist Church.
