Floyd 'Sonny' Ward

Funeral for Floyd "Sonny" Ward, 43, of Hartselle was Wednesday, Jan. 7, at 1 p.m. at Mt. Tabor United Methodist Church with the Revs. John Elliott and Ryan Childers officiating.
Burial was in the adjoining cemetery with Peck Funeral Home directing.
Mr. Ward died Saturday, Jan. 3, 2004, at UAB Hospital in Birmingham. He was born March 15, 1960, in Childers, Texas to Floyd Edward Ward Sr. and Barbara Jean Douglas. He was a self-employed floor covering contractor.
He is survived by his wife, Anne Ward of Hartselle; one step son, Eric Shaffer of Hartselle; two daughters, Summerly Ward and Brandy Ward, both of Arkansas; his mother and stepfather, Barbara Jean Potts and Tommy Potts of Texarkana, Ark.; five brothers, Kevin Potts, Tom Potts, Matt Potts, Tim Potts, all of Texarkana, Ark. and Clifton Potts of Nash, Tex.; five sisters, Debbie Crowder of Henderson, N.C., April Potts of Fouke, Ark., Dawn Dellinger of Bridgewater, N.J. and Felecia Dellinger and Jacquie Potts, both of Texarkana, Ark.; and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Mike Dudley, David Starr, Jonathan Ford, Jeff Arnold, Justin Roper and Gene Roper.
