Editor's note: Results from Monday afternoon's game will not be published due to an early deadline.
For Hartselle, the River City Classic didn't start out too good. However, after a 49-41 loss to Brainerd (Tenn.) in the first round, the Lady Tigers bounced back with hot shooting to beat Prattville 59-44.
Against Prattville, Shan Jones scored 22 points and pulled down nine rebounds.
The Lady Tigers (8-7) opened up a 15-5 lead midway through the first quarter, thanks in part to a pair of three pointers, and led 36-25 at halftime.
In Friday's game against Brainerd, Hartselle shot just 30 percent and 1 of 18 from behind the three-point line to fall by eight.
Hartselle led 16-6 at the end of the first quarter and at halftime by one. The two teams were knotted at 34-all by the end of the third quarter, but Brainerd outscored Hartselle 15-7 in the final quarter.
Lauren Drake was the only Lady Tiger in double figures with 10.
