The Hartselle Tigers hosted the Tiger Duals this past weekend, and the home team did not disappoint.
Hartselle picked up five wins in the eight-team match.
The Tigers started Saturday morning by beating North Cobb (Ga.) 56-15, then took a break for round two. Hartselle then beat Benjamin Russell 36-23, Bob Jones 43-33, Bratlett (Tenn.) 47-27 and Clay-Chalkville 56-22.
Individually, five Tigers went undefeated, including freshman Caleb Blanton (112).
Others going undefeated were Luke Mize (135), Corey Farmer (140), Dennis Smith (145) and Ben Eubanks (171).
Travis Lightle (215) and Brett Bidwell (125) both went 4-1, while Brad Eubanks (Hvy) and Adam Faulk (189) both won three matches. Faulk was injured in the fourth match of the day. The high-ankle sprain will likely cause him to miss any action before Jan. 10.
Rico Elliot (103), Ryder Brasher (119) and Andrew Watson (140) all won two matches, while Shawn Pewitt got one win.
The Tigers are now 9-2 on the season and will travel to Clarksville, Tenn., to compete in the Rossview Duals Dec. 30. Hartselle returns home Jan. 5 for a duals match with Huntsville, Brookwood and Pinson Valley.
