The Hartselle 6U Lady Tigers softball all-stars marched through the All American Youth Sports North Alabama area tournament, winning the championship.

They opened the tournament with a 12-10 win over Florence to advance to the winner’s bracket final on Saturday. The Lady Tigers battled from behind to defeat Athens 18-17 to secure their spot in the championship game. In the finals, they defeated Athens 15-5 to win the area championship.

Livingston Stipe was named the championship game’s most valuable player after her performance in leading the Lady Tigers to the championship game win.

The Lady Tigers will play for the All-American Youth Sports state championship this weekend in Wetumpka. Games will begin on Thursday morning and continue through Saturday.
