Priceville extends win streak to nine

The Priceville Bulldogs extended their win streak to nine games following four wins during spring break. They picked up wins over Pell City, Falkville, Elkmont and Butler, Ky., to improve to 21-4 this season.

Priceville 5, Elkmont 3
Zach Chaney and Wes Walker each doubled and had an RBI in Priceville’s 5-3 win over Elkmont. Zander Gaines and Brayden Burney each added a hit and scored a run. Jackson Prickett earned the win after allowing three runs in four innings while striking out six. Thomas Kerby picked up the save after pitching three scoreless innings of relief. He allowed three hits while striking out six.

Priceville 10, Falkville 0
Colman Gann pitched a no-hitter in Priceville’s 10-0 win over Falkville. He struck out eight over five innings, allowing one baserunner. Robert Munive had a double and three RBI, while Burney had a hit and two RBI. Walker, Prickett and Chaney each had a hit and an RBI.

Priceville 12, Butler (Ky.) 0
Tyde Borden pitched a complete-game shutout allowing just one hit over four innings while striking out six in the Bulldogs’ 12-0 win over Butler (Ky.). Ty Parker had a triple and three RBI, while Gaines added a double and three RBI. Ryan Hanks and Brody Collins each had a hit and two RBI. Walker had two hits and one RBI.

Priceville 10, Pell City 2
Priceville opened spring break with a 10-2 win over Pell City. Hanks had two hits and two runs scored, while Parker had three hits and two runs scored. Kerby added a three-run home run. JoJo Garrison pitched a three-hitter and struck out four.

Brewer 10, East Limestone 8
The Brewer Patriots withstood a late East Limestone rally to win 10-8 in the first game our their area series. Hunter Knighten, Logan Powers and Brayden Murphy each had two hits, including a double and an RBI. In addition, Powers and Murphy each scored two runs. Lane Owen picked up the win after 3 ⅔ innings of relief. He helped his cause with two hits and two RBI.

Brewer 11, East Limestone 10
The Patriots scored a run in the bottom of the seventh to secure an area series win over East Limestone with an 11-10 victory. Murphy had three hits and three RBI, while Powers had three hits, two RBI and two runs scored. Knighten added two hits, two RBI and two runs scored. Colton Hardy earned the win after pitching three innings of relief.
