Lady Bulldogs advance to Northwest regional with win over Hamilton

The Priceville Lady Bulldogs advanced to the Northwest Regional at Wallace State with a 79-58 win on the road at Hamilton. Priceville led 22-14 after the first quarter and 43-28 at halftime.

Sophomore Leslie Hames led the Lady Bulldogs with 23 points, three rebounds and three steals. Older sister Lauren Hames scored 10 points, including her 1,000th career point.

Abby Langlois finished with a double-double, 21 points and 11 rebounds, while Ashlyn Johnson added 13 and Gracin Prater scored 10 to join the Hames sisters in double digits.

Priceville (20-9) will play St. John Paul II, a 49-32 winner over Rogers in the 4A semifinals. The two teams were in the same area last year.

Aubrey Sorrells finished with 31 points for Hamilton, while Jordan Parker scored 11.

In other games
The Danville Lady Hawks lost 57-34 on the road at Lauderdale County. Freshman Adily Alberti led Danville with nine points.

The Priceville Bulldogs dropped a 64-41 road game at Haleyville. Jake Langlois closed his high school career with 16 points and six rebounds. Tyler Case added 14 points. Sammy Holmes had six points and Luke Hood added five.
