Morgan County Tournament gets underway with Priceville, Danville looking to repeat wins

The Morgan County Tournament begins Tuesday night as Priceville girls (12-6) and West Morgan boys (14-4) enter the tournament as the top seeds.

All games will be played at Danville High School. Admission is $7 each day.

Girls

Priceville is the defending champion after winning their first county title last season with a 66-37 win over Falkville.

The Lady Bulldogs will take the floor Thursday at 6:30 pm against the winner of No. 4 Danville and No. 5 Brewer, who play Tuesday, in the first semifinal.

No. 2 Falkville will face No. 3 West Morgan on Friday at 6:30 p.m. in the second semifinal.

The winner of the two semifinal games will play for the county championship at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.

Boys

Danville is defending champion after defeating Priceville in the 2022 finals.

West Morgan takes the floor at 7:45 p.m. on Thursday in the first semifinal against the winner of No. 4 Brewer and No. 5 Falkville, who play Tuesday.

No. 2 Priceville takes on No. 3 Danville at 7:45 p.m. on Friday in the second semifinal.

The winner of the two semifinal games will play for the county championship at 7 p.m. on Saturday.
