Meet James Spann downtown Oct. 29

By Staff Reports

Alabama’s Weather Warrior is coming to Hartselle Oct. 29.

James Spann, television meteorologist and podcast host, known across the state will be signing books and autographs at Sherry’s Sparkle from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. Sherry’s Sparkle is located at 127 Main St. W.

Store owner Sherry Yeager said she has been a fan of Spann and has followed him on social media for some time.

After discovering Spann is also a published author, she knew she wanted to add him to her lineup.

Spann’s first children’s book, Benny and Chipper: Prepared…Not Scared, illustrates the adventures of friends Benny and Chipper as they work to build a safe room and help Chipper overcome his fear of storms.

His memoir, “Weathering Life,” was published in 2019 and “All You Can Do Is Pray,” the story of the generational tornado outbreak of April 2011, was published in 2021.

Other authors scheduled for signings at Sherry’s Sparkle include Hesta Gurney Oct. 8 and Jessica Lewis Oct. 15.
