Hartselle-based New South Pro Wrestling will celebrate its seventh anniversary with an event at Sparkman Civic Center Aug. 6 and will be filmed for Pro Wrestling TV.  

New South is an independent professional wrestling brand based in North Alabama with seven years on the market. Since its inception, New South has visited more than 20 cities in five states, and has more than one million combined viewers, both in person, on the award-winning IWTV app and on Pro Wrestling TV, according to brand representative Carmen Michael.  

“Hartselle holds a special place in the hearts of us all, as it is where we held our first ever live event, and has come to be our home base for the last seven years,” Michael said. “Since launching, New South has held hundreds of events across the U.S., brought national television stars to our local community, secured multiple deals with streaming services and was the home of current WWE superstar Austin Theory, as well as many others.”  

Doors open at 6:30 p.m. with the first bell ringing at 7:30 p.m.
