Priceville’s Piper Grace England finished as second runner-up in the national Miss Elementary America pageant in Little Rock, Arkansas.

The 8-year-old England earned a spot in the national pageant, which culminated June 26, by winning the title of Miss Alabama 3rd Grade. For the national pageant, England participated in a 3-minute panel interview, evening gown and fashion runway.

The contestants also were required to complete community service projects. England’s outreach projects included preparing and serving food at Manna House in Huntsville, collecting food and supplies for the Morgan County Animal Shelter, collecting items for Sav-A-Life Pregnancy Resource Center, donating snacks to Priceville Elementary’s backpack buddies, organizing an item drive for Hearts for Homeless, painting windows at Morgan County DHR, and providing meals for medical volunteers at the Decatur-Morgan County Community Free Clinic.

England is the daughter of Ashley and Katie England and is a rising third grader at Priceville Elementary.
