Morgan County banquet honors area students

The Morgan County school district held its 2022 academic banquet May 19 at The Witt House in Priceville. Students from county who excelled academically were honored during the event. Those students included Landon Alexander, Laura Grace Bittle, Jacob Smith and Faith Wilson from Brewer High Schooll Caitlin Strickland, Cole Reynolds and Grayson Glenn from Danville High School; Morgan Brown, Abigail Lopez and Gavin Lee from Falkville High School and Elijah Hopkins, Reagan Crumley, Elizabeth Trippany, Reese Banks, Caleb Pedings, Grant Stephenson and Carson Taylor from Priceville High School.  

Danville Baptist to hold VBS 

Danville Baptist Church will hold Vacation Bible School June 6-10 from 8:30-11:30 a.m. Plans include fun, games, worship music and Bible study. To register, visit  https://kideventpro.lifeway.com/myEvent/?id=62786. The Vacation Bible School will be for children in pre-k through the sixth grade. 

Falkville High School receives facelift  

The main entrance at Falkville High School recently received a facelift. The front of campus is now once again landscaped, with the cooperation of board member Mike Tarpley and the financial planning of Superintendent Robbie Elliott. They were able to partner together and make this happen via the 2022 Board Member grant program. Everyone at Falkville appreciates the support that MCS has provided them for school improvement.  

Danville Basketball to hold fundraiser 

Danville Basketball is having a fundraiser June 6-8 at Pigskin BBQ in Hartselle. Patrons can eat at the restaurant and leave a $5 tip to support the fundraiser – just mention you want to support Danville Basketball.
