Police nab one on outstanding warrant

Special to the Enquirer

A Falkville man was arrested by police Wednesday after initially evading capture the day before.

March 23 Morgan County Sheriff’s Office deputies located the man, who allegedly ran from deputies Tuesday afternoon in the Cole Springs area.

Deputies had initially responded March 22 to a suspicious vehicle, when the subject fled on foot. The subject, identified as David William Westfall, 32, of Falkville, allegedly spent the night in the woods, during the storm weather.

The morning of March 23, he was observed by several area residents, according to the MCSO. Residents called Morgan County 911 and notified deputies. After a short search, deputies located Westfall on foot in the woods and took him into custody.

He was arrested on an outstanding warrant for bond revocation – possession of a controlled substance.

He was booked in the Morgan County Jail with no bond, according to the MCSO.
