Morgan County Tournament takes court this week

The Morgan County Tournament tipped off Monday night, West Morgan High School. Games will be played every night this week except for Wednesday.

BOYS
Danville (16-5) is the top seed in the boys’ bracket. The Hawks are followed by West Morgan (13-7), Priceville (15-4), Falkville (14-8) and Brewer (3-16). The schedule for the boys’ tournament is:

Game 1: No. 4 Falkville 77 – No. 5 Brewer 49

Game 2: No. 1 Danville versus No. 4 Falkville – Thursday, 7:30 p.m.

Game 3: No. 2 West Morgan versus No. 3 Priceville – Friday, 7:30 p.m.

Championship: Winner Game 2 versus Winner Game 3 – Saturday, 7:30 p.m.

GIRLS
Priceville (15-4) is the girls’ tournament’s top seed. The Lady Bulldogs are followed by West Morgan (6-10), Falkville (9-11), Danville (6-12) and Brewer (5-16). The schedule for the girls’ tournament is:

Game 1: No. 4 Danville 39 – No. 5 Brewer 41

Game 2: No. 1 Priceville versus No. 5 Brewer – Thursday, 6 p.m.

Game 3: No. 2 West Morgan versus No. 3 Falkville – Friday, 6 p.m.

Championship Game: Winner Game 2 versus Winner Game 3 – Saturday, 6 p.m.

The 2021 Morgan County Tournament was canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The most recent champions were the Hartselle boys and girls teams, which won the 2020 tournament at Falkville.
