Hartselle’s Alabama Gourd Show to be featured on national TV

Special to the Enquirer

The 2021 Alabama Gourd Show, held in Hartselle, and the Alabama Gourd Society will receive statewide and national exposure with a feature on Simply Southern TV.

The show will air locally Jan. 9 at 9 a.m. on WAFF-TV 48 and will be rebroadcast on national cable network RFD-TV the following Wednesday at 3 p.m.

“If you enjoy art and have never been to the Alabama Gourd Show, put it on your calendar now for next October. It is truly amazing to see the scope of artwork that artists create from dried gourds,” said Simply Southern TV co-host Mary Wilson.

Simply Southern TV episodes are also available on the show’s website, simplysoutherntv.net, and segments can be viewed on the Simply Southern TV Facebook page. Each 30-minute show celebrates Alabama’s farmers, gardeners, makers, rural communities and one-of-a-kind destinations.
